We'll have these spooky spoons available at the Rainbow Beach Spring Festival on 3 September. Give your sugar bowl its own sugar skull. Look out for the Gympie Bone Museum stall. #rainbowbeach #rainbowbeachspringfestival #skull #skulls #sugarskull #sugarskulls #bones #gympie #gympiebonemuseum
Our first fundraising foray will be a stall at the Rainbow Beach Spring Festival. Although we’ve had lots of weird and wonderful ideas there comes a point where you have to accept that sometimes you just have to keep it simple. These are cheap and quick to make but effective and they make people laugh. Hopefully they’ll be a hit at the festival.
Gympie is going to be bypassed by the Bruce Highway by 2030. It’s likely that the disruption that is caused by the roadworks leading up to that is going to discourage visitors from stopping long before that. So what are we going to do?
Enter the Gympie Bone Museum Project. Led by a group of innovative and diverse Gympie business people the project intends to bring an innovative science and tourism facility to the town that will attract visitors to the town and give the locals a hub to gather in and use as a meeting place and event center.
This will be so much more than a museum. More than a hall of bones.
