Science in the Park – Gympie and District Landcare

Join us for a day of Science in the Park. We’re celebrating the citizen scientists of our region with a day of live science talks on the lawn at Gympie Bone Museum.

Gympie & District Landcare
are coming to talk about all the beneficial insects they employ to keep our environment safe from invasive pests and weeds. It’s going to be the coolest show and tell we’ve had for ages.  We’ll get the flesh eating beetles out and compare creepy crawlies.

Gympie Regional Council Lands Protection teamwill be with us until 1pm with their informative presentation about weed and pest animal management in the region. A great chance for all the new tree changers in our area to find out how to best look after their new blocks.

Science in the Park will be a casual Q&A event with plenty of opportunity to chat with the guests and asks questions. Hands on exhibits will also be part of the talks.

As we get closer to the date we expect to have more science superstars join the Science in the Park program. Bring a picnic and enjoy the lovely grounds.

Ticket includes free entry to Gympie Bone Museum. (entry to Woodworks Museum is separate)

This is an all ages event. The Museum precinct at 8 Fraser Rd is a pet friendly venue.
