Join us for a day of Science in the Park.We’re celebrating the citizen scientists of our region with a day of live science talks on the lawn at Gympie Bone Museum.
At 10.30 are the volunteers of the Tin Can Bay dolphin squad – champions of the dolphin pod. Rain, hail or shine they show up every morning to check in with the Australian Humpback Dolphins that have been visiting Tin Can Bay for 25 years.
Gympie Regional Council Lands Protection teamwill be with us until 1pm with their informative presentation about weed and pest animal management in the region. A great chance for all the new tree changers in our area to find out how to best look after their new blocks.
Science in the Park will be a casual Q&A event with plenty of opportunity to chat with the guests and asks questions. Hands on exhibits will also be part of the talks.
Bring a picnic and enjoy the lovely grounds.
Ticket includes free entry to Gympie Bone Museum. (entry to Woodworks Museum is separate)
This is an all ages event. The Museum precinct at 8 Fraser Rd is a pet friendly venue.
